Frederick Tucker
1898, Frederick Tucker entered the insurance business in Somerset, England. He moved to Canada to work for Sun Life. Recruited by Union Mutual to Portland,
ME office. 1927, moves to Philadelphia to open new Union Mutual office and Tucker & Company Insurance.
Frederick Arthur Tucker
1932, after graduation from Drexel University, "Art" stepped in to work with his father, eventually taking over Tucker & Company. Additionally, he continues to teach insurance and help found the Insurance Institute at Drexel University. 1950, Tucker & Company is merged with prominent Philadelphia brokerage firm: Nicholas Biddle and Stockton Townsend
Frederick Arthur Tucker, Jr.
1968, Frederick joins Biddle and Townsend. One year later, Biddle and Townsend merges with another prominent Philadelphia brokerage firm: Richard Haughton, Philip B. Weymouth and Thomas L. Bishop. The new firm is then named: Biddle, Bishop, and Smith. 1981 Frederick purchases Biddle, Bishop, and Smith. The company name was eventually shortened to Biddle & Company.
Matthew Hoover Tucker
1998, Matthew begins his career with the prominent Philadelphia real estate firm; Jackson Cross Company where he developed inside knowledge of commercial and personal risk. Matthew incorporated property and casualty insurance into his business and acquired Tucker & Company Insurance.
